Tomonion and Herbed Goat Cheese Crostini.
By Fred Wurtzel, Wurtz Brothers Company.
This is a great little hors d'oeuvres for any occasion. Hello everyone! This has been my go to recipe for showcasing Tomonion. They are quick, simple to make, and delicious!
 Ingredients                 Time 30min  Yield 30
One 8 oz jar of Tomonion
One French baguette
One package of herbed goat cheese(I used Boursin brand)
2 TBSP Extra virgin olive oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
Step 1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Slice bread in quarter inch slices at an angle, place in a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil, salt, and pepper and toss bread to lightly coat each slice of bread. Feel free to add a little more oil if you like.
Step 2. Lay the bread slices out on a sheet pan and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until they become lightly browned and crispy. Pull from oven and let cool. You can save more time by purchasing a pre-made version of the buttered-bread of your choice.
Step 3. Now it's time to assemble the crostini by first spreading a layer of the Tomonion and then add a dollop of goat cheese. You can garnish with some fresh herbs, if you like, and enjoy. That's it, they're ready to go!
